LEARN TO RUN 2017
Jessica Dovichak discovered running in university as a means to stay in shape and ward off the “Freshman 15”. She has been running for 7 years and has been competing in triathlon for 4 years. Jessica has completed 8 half-marathons, numerous 5km and 10km races and several sprint and Olympic distance triathlons.
Jessica coached the “Learn to Run” program for 2 years in Lethbridge at Runners’ Soul and was a member of the Runners’ Soul Marathon Club. Jessica has a passion for introducing newbie runners to the sport and ensuring they have proper education and support to become lifetime runners. She hopes to bring distance running and triathlon to the forefront in Weyburn and plans to keep running until she’s 80.
The 411 on Learn to Run:
Learn to Run is an 8 week program designed for all runners wanting to make the transition from walking to running or for runners wanting to increase their run time in a supported, education based environment. We will use interval training to train you to the point of running your goal time or an even paced, continuous 5km; just in time to enter the Weyburn Opportunity Road Race in June 2017.
